Our best-selling book celebrates diversity & explains evolutionary adaptations along with messages on conservation & respecting difference, in a fun way.

Worth a look if you think your kids (ages 4-9) will enjoy learning about interesting animal characters that stand out for their weirdness.

To clarify, for me it was not specifically about 🏳️‍🌈 rights, but bbc attitudes there much more widely, a toxic culture & arrogance when I stood up to them on multiple issues over the years.

Welcome to the best club. As a highly qualified & highly experienced journalist & scientist I was never allowed in the door.

Their rules are a farce.

Winter Sleep was my first published children’s book, 1 of 4 in our Seasons in the Wild narrative science story series exploring natural history.

It was long-listed for the Kate Greenaway Medal & is recommmended to primary schools by the literacy charity @clpe.org.uk & it’s been on the curriculum.

I have a few signed copies of my books available here in Bristol, and I’m happy to post them to uk addresses.

They are also available online in all the usual places.

This online bookshop is one of the most ethical places to buy books:

Thanks for relying.
Because it is one that is only extinct nationally, not internationally, so they can be captive-bred & then reintroduced - in theory.

No worries. It’s just slightly different there, that’s all. I mean land use & population densities, mainly.

Also no one is being judged on how they answer. Honesty & being realistic are what matter.

You might have other reasons why you’d say yes or no. All opinions are valid, please say what you think - there’s ideology and reality and practicality to consider too…
