I structured my class schedule for many semesters around a 12a-2a college radio program. The legend was that our broadcast range was a couple blocks. But there was one local man, I think autistic and living with his parents, who would always listen and call in.

One thing that has surprised and depressed me is how little it turns out people apparently care about product quality (sort of an essential feedback mechanism for capitalism!).

Facebook basically stopped showing people photos of their friends and nobody cared.

This feels like evidence Trump's aides are deliberately gaslighting him, which is unfortunately very easy to do with dementia sufferers (Trump did it to his father) and which aides are using to seize control of the US military for their own purposes.

Ignoring very real consent issues- this is flat out dangerous. These women all ready deal with serious risks to personal safety due to stalkers. Chat bots that hyper charge parasocial relationships don’t help.

Meta is really distinguishing themselves as the worst offender. At least other AI companies gesture towards building something useful. Meta just puts out raw slop in different configurations and makes no pretense about it.
