YESSSSSSSSSS. Thank you, @murray.senate.gov for strongly standing up for American science, medical research, and cures.
👊🇺🇸💅🔥

Thanks for supporting the #NIH ‘ers who want to continue the best research establishment in world history and save it from Trump. 🧪
Please watch and share, everyone!
My message to Trump’s NIH Director? No one in America wants us to do LESS cancer research.

No one is asking Trump to make it harder to cure Alzheimer's disease.

Yet Trump is cutting all of this NOW and demanding an $18 BILLION cut to NIH next year. Not on my watch.

Without basic science, there is nothing to translate.
I know you all know this, but apparently it needs to be said that basic science is a NECESSARY PRECURSOR to translational science
NSF to ONLY fund research in five areas: artificial intelligence, quantum information science, biotechnology, nuclear energy, and translational science. Can this be happening?

Even without the bill they are sneaking in cancellations of Federal Grant Programs like TRIO. This should alarm everyone as TRIO programs are a vital link between first-generation and limited income students and institutions of higher education.

Btw each American Citizen pays roughly $4 per year in taxes to fund the NWS. Pretty sweet deal to get life saving information for less than a cup of coffee per year!
It is the government's responsibility to protect the lives of We The People, whenever possible.

The NWS and NOAA have developed and maintained an effective, lifesaving system. It benefits ALL PEOPLE in the US to continue to fund weather alerts.

The attack must stop!

I found this Reddit thread with a great sample letter for writing your representatives about the NIH funding cuts. It's easy to feel powerless, but humans believe anecdotes more than anything else – so share your story, both through letters and phone. It can do more than you think.
