People have always had opinions.
Many/most of which they used to keep to themselves. Or occasionally blurt out when drunk.

Sadly, now, 99.9% of “journalism” is just opinion.

And social media has turned the right to have an opinion in to “my BS opinion is right & must be listened to”.

Hey Sumida River, moon.

Nearly full moon dressed up as a white blob, hiding behind the clouds like an obnoxious diva. Skytree lit green, white and purple river boat, and the Tobu line bridge lit up red yellow and white over the Sumida. Everyone but the moon is trying very hard.

The "rip off" being that these politicians and their 0.1% backers/donors feel ripped off.

They don't want plebs taking degrees that enrich themselves. They want plebs to take degrees that are directly linked to fiscal productivity and profit for the ruling class.

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Rediffusion..... such memories. This was our tv when I was a kid. Little square box on the wall, the ABCDEFGHIJKLMN dial. Only three stations then, mind you: BBC1, 2 and ITV.

Agreed. And being near three hospitals and two large road junctions, we get them on the sirens and the megaphone. Why, at 2am when there are no cars on the road, they need to be shouting for cars to get out the way at traffic lights, I really don’t know.
