Large law firms are siding with Trump over their clients and employees. Let me give you one statistic to exemplify this:

DOJ is suing 22 states for access to sensitive voter data.

My firm of 60 lawyers is fighting in all 22.

Not a single big law firm is fighting along side us in any case.

Oh man, on the postmarking issue, I forgot about No-Fault claims. Every year, there are about 250,000 (yes, really) No- Fault cases filled in New York City Civil courts. The overwhelming majority of these cases turn entirely on proving when, specifically, various documents were mailed.
Health insurance claims are going to get hit with this bullshit too. My job just got a lot harder...
People are talking about this in terms of mail-in ballots, but this seems like a huge problem in litigation. If you have to file a notice within 90 days of X, and "filing" is deemed to be the date it's postmarked, what happens if you drop it at the post office on day 85 and it sits for a week?

An accurate understanding of reality is not sufficient, but it's 100% necessary.

It lets you stop squandering your energy on strategies that hinge on the idea that people were somehow "duped" into voting for Trump in his THIRD CAMPAIGN.

They like racism and cruelty. It feels good to them.

We won't begin to roll back the tide of fascism until white liberals come to terms with the fact that tens of millions of their fellow citizens actively, knowingly, support racist Gestapo policies. Tens of millions of racists were not deluded or misled. How will you adjust your strategy accordingly?

This is a tired strategy: accuse journalists seeking response and more information of "stalking" and "harassment"... rather than engage even to simply offer a "no comment." People in power, especially taxpayer-funded ones, should have to answer questions: www.propublica.org/article/prop...
Our Reporters Reached Out for Comment. They Were Accused of Stalking and Intimidation.
Our journalists reach out to people they’re writing about to ensure fairness. But in this environment, they’ve found their efforts to do so are more likely to be vilified than appreciated.

A retired Tennessee policeman who spent more than a month in jail over an anti-Trump Facebook post is suing the authorities responsible for his arrest.

Attorneys for Larry Bushart, 61, allege in the lawsuit that those responsible violated Bushart's First and Fourth Amendment rights.

I've had my criticisms of both Whitehouse and Durbin, who are AWFUL on internet policy, but glad to see them at least calling out that there's absolutely no reason Wiles should have "seen the Epstein files" and her claiming she had should be seen as a scandal.
"Please be kind enough to explain when and where and under what authority you gained access to this material.”

It’s entirely possible that a Supreme Court majority in a future case would read the broadly worded Insurrection Act as a gaping hole in the Posse Comitatus Act that allows Trump to call forth the military.

Trump is increasingly worried about his own mortality, and he's trying to use government to create a physical legacy that will outlive him.

Which is why every bit of it must be torn down and smashed to bits.

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.
