one of the worst feelings as an artist is when you have lots of ideas for what you want to draw but no time, then when you have the time you have no motivation, then when you have the motivation you have no ideas

if you're lgbt, if you're black or hispanic or muslim, if you're a woman, if you're part of any sort of marginalized group

it's the most unfair thing that you have to keep fighting

but I beg you

please be brave
please be safe
please try to survive

Keep making art. Keep writing your stories. Even if they must exist in secret for a time, they are important - each of them a little act of rebellion.

Most of all, keep on living. If you can muster no other motivation on some days, then do it out of righteous spite for those who want you gone.

Don't make me tap the sign

When you reach a point where you just make art for the outcome and public response, then something is wrong.
For me, I will take a big step back. Focus on the process again and draw what I like. Not what I think others will.
It sounds so obvious but so hard to achieve.

Does anyone else enjoy just sketching and making lineart??? I prefer it over coloring/render honestly ✨️

Being haunted by ideas that are way beyond your artistic level/amount of time you're willing to put into a single piece is pretty torturous sometimes 🥴
