Rates of brain ageing accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic, even among those who did not get infected with SARS-CoV-2, suggests a study of nearly 1,000 UK adults published in @natcomms.nature.com:
Accelerated brain ageing during the COVID-19 pandemic - Nature Communications
This study shows that the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated brain ageing in UK adults, even without infection. The effect was stronger in older individuals, in men, and those from deprived backgrounds. Cognitive decline was seen only in those infected.
