Misleading image - cuts off just after 75%. Ignore title - look at how many Reform voters DON'T think ILR should be stripped from particular groups (& how many Green/Lib Dem Labour voters do). 20 years of residence works some magic. Lack of support for severely disabled (framed as "who cannot work")

The majority of Reform UK voters would see indefinite leave to remain removed from all of the groups we asked about, apart from those who have lived in the UK for 20+ years

It is 20 years since Conor Gearty gave the Hamlyn Lectures on Can Human Rights Survive?
As a mark of respect following the dreadful news of his, Cambridge University Press & Assessment has made these lectures Open Access for the remainder of the year. You can find them here:

A new Explainer out from @aoifemod.bsky.social and me detailing the UK's ECHR commitments under the 1998 Agreement in response to recent speculation. It is short, because there is very little to say - the UK's obligations are evident on the B/GFA's plain text:

Staff of @gwr.com as usual making heroic efforts to mitigate effect of dreadful service. Rail replacement bus, delayed train, thanks to guard changed at different station from schedule to connect with (delayed) train. Constant, inane, pointless electronic announcements at stations make things worse.

In fairness I knew very eminent lawyers in Sudan who elected to use Yahoo emails - & if you look at the FCDO list of lawyers in Nigeria some have yahoo addresses find-a-professional-service-abroad.service.csd.fcdo.gov.uk/find/lawyers...?

Wonderful tributes from colleagues at Matrix chambers for Professor Conor Gearty.

So shocked Conor Gearty has died

He was a fearless lawyer, teacher and writer

He was also one of the wittiest, smartest people you’d ever meet. It was an honour to call him a friend

I will miss him, terribly. Thoughts with his family, in London and Longford

Saddened to hear that Professor Conor Gearty @lselaw.bsky.social & Matrix Chambers has died. A brilliant speaker & writer on human rights, a kind & fun presence, committed to getting the message out there & more successful than most in doing so. A link to his website conorgearty.co.uk

⚡️Germany, Poland, Czech Republic named first countries included in Ukraine's multiple citizenship law.

The new law will be extended to these three countries first, and then to the U.S. and Canada, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
