I asked the class what they do with their insecurities and the boy who missed my preamble about generations of men who won’t talk about their emotions says, “I just push it down, like a man. There’s no point talking about it.” And, he got the last word in before the bell. Amen, it’s Friday.

A Gr. 11 student wrote, “Some people with the brightest light cast the darkest shadows.” One of the best lines I’ve read this year.
