I have wanted these cards since I was little 😭😭😭 I would spend so much time looking at them in this old collector’s booklet from ‘99…it hits me in waves that they are real and I start crying again

Went to card party today and a very kind vendor was selling a near mint set of Japanese Southern Island cards, and sold it to us for a heavy discounted price because we were collectors who were just looking to care for the cards.

I basically attribute a lot of my successes to them, because I don’t know if I would have kept drawing without their kindness. I’ve told them plenty of times at this rate how much of an impact they’ve had, and feel so lucky that I can message them whenever I want.

I keep in touch with my 6th grade teacher and her husband, who is an incredible oil painter. They encouraged me to keep drawing and were so patient with my love for anime. I was a weird kid imho and it was nice to go into a hard transitional year with an adult who knew drawing was my passion.

as a neurodivergent & also weird kid school was hell for me, though these days I struggle to remember the names of all the teachers who bullied me. But the three that treated me like a person have never left me. Now more than ever, I hope you all try your best to stay unsquishable!
