I took a walk in the woods today. Pretty chuffed with these photos.

A few more shots from yesterday’s outing to see the site of Mercy Brown’s “vampire” exhumation ritual in 1892.

Finally, more than 10 years after I first told her story on Lore, I paid a visit to the grave of Mercy Brown.

Yeah, I’m not pulling my punches anymore. Want to be an asshole? Expect raw honesty from me.

I have a few projects cooking right now (a history book, a new supernatural audio thriller, and more), and the best way to find out about them is to sign up for my irregular, non-spammy email newsletter, The Campfire.

That said, I’ve got new shoes on, so at least something feels a bit brighter.

I’ve read that some bees see blues and purples better, so blue flowers tend to get more action from them.

Here’s another similar flower…but I did t catch any bees in this one.

It was a long road to travel, but the view was more than worth it.

OK Edinburgh, you won me over with “Frankenstein-themed pub”. Although the other patrons seem a bit ominous.

I also had morning coffee with a powerhouse of a talent. From Greatest Showman to Wicked and more, Keala has no equal. And just minutes into our chat, we both realized we are kindred spirits who should have met years ago. ❤️

I’ve been broken down on a narrow English road far from civilization for over 3 hours now. Flat tire, busy night for recovery/service providers, etc. It’s been fine, we’re fine…but it’s dark now, and I’m still waiting for the tire guy, and I’d just like to go to bed.

My view.

The stone circles of Avebury aren’t as famous as Stonehenge, but they are an incredible thing to experience if you ever get the chance. Today was my third visit in nearly 20 years, and I’ll happily go back in the future.
