OPT provides short-term work visas for recent international graduate students in the US, allowing them to work after their student visa expires. It's a pipeline for jobs in medicine, biomedical research, education, technology, engineering, and other highly skilled work.

What kind of research do they consider "wasteful DEI"? Reading through the project descriptions (column N) and it's project grants studying:
-fentanyl overdose prevention
-earthquake disaster preparedness
-renewable energy
-kidney disease (and other healthcare topics)
-disability aid product design

NSF grants/fellowships weren’t just given out willy-nilly, these are our colleagues doing elite peer-reviewed work, for which they should be supported and lauded.

Antarctica Day is on Dec 1st each year. It marks the signing of the Antarctic Treaty, which sets aside Antarctica as a continent for peace and science.
