I can’t hate on her. Some of her music is cringey & some of her fanbase is concerning- but she does way more good than harm. She’s had some good songs. She does some wonderful philanthropic work. I’m not gonna make any excuses for her new album because it is extraordinarily bad.

In all seriousness, publishers are going to have to figure out how to market books in the post-social-media landscape. That should be an implicit part of their job. What authors/artists can do on their own is increasingly limited and siloed.

It struck me that the film made me anxious in a way I couldn't quite put my finger on but the music was so soothing. I wasn't expecting that sort of extra layer but I love it when films pull your strings like that.
