Furthermore, in approaching the negotiation for a peace deal, Trump/the West had the upper hand— 🇷🇺 under heavy sanctions, loosing troops, frozen frontlines, not making any progress, etc.
Instead of using that to the West & Ukraine’s advantage, he surrendered to Putin & handed him the upper hand

Trump could have pushed for an end to the war in Ukraine without becoming actively hostile to Ukraine. Instead, he has imbibed Putin’s lies. Have written about the emergence of a new US/Russia axis, where it comes from and the staggering implications for Europe.
