I can’t pretend this is a festive suggestion as I’m not sure that a book about the trial of a woman who poisoned her in-laws is a tactful Christmas present, but The Mushroom Tapes: Conversations on a Triple Murder Trial by Helen Garner, Chloe Hooper and Sarah Krasnostein is just too brilliant 1/4

Ugh... Had to pay almost a $70 fine just to close up a shop with no sales.
I'm irritated not because of a fine that I suspect but because I already told her that even if it's the government's fault, we will be the ones who will be fined. There will always a fine because the government is trash.

So I was listening to a recap and sadly, it's one of those crappy copy paste stories with cookie cutter characters. A story where the male MC is overpowered with a harem. Most people there are blinded by his MC halo that even when he did the exact shitty thing a male mob did, it's cool. 🙄🙄🙄

I have read a lot manga, manhua, and manhwa for a lot of my life but I just noticed that a lot of the main characters of new stories are young. Like early 20's to grade school young. It is a relatable age but eventually you'll look for something that you right now can relate to like me.
