The distortion of the lines is world space, but the break-up of the lines is object space! there are indeed seams but I'm trying to cover them up in the edge detection shader itself, but promising start!

Interesting! I'm thinking a port of the renderer to a game engine is inevitable to make a game? Maybe I'm underestimating the efforts of such a port and overestimating the work needed to make your renderer be able to output games. After all, Tiny Glade did the same! (but they used Bevy I think?)

I sample the normal buffer in the area around each pixel (in a shader) and then I'm able to detect edges/cavities that way!
