She’s about 15, and there was a too long time where I struggled to get her to eat. And now, she’s got a touch of dementia and all food is Boo food, so I just try and keep her away from the knives when I’m making dinner, and she can eat anything she wants. Somehow, you don’t get mad at her.

Nubbin knows when I’m stressed and has been trying to give me a hug since I got home. After chasing me around like “LET ME LOVE YOU” as I got stuff sorted, she’s finally getting to.

I can’t touch him, and I can’t shut the door behind him, but if I leave the door open, Patches comes inside to eat. And he came to scream in the kitchen window that he wanted food.
He wants to spray things, so getting him inside before his neuter in under a month will be challenging.

I’ve coveted @erniebufflo.bsky.social’s red Birkenstock Mary Janes every time she posted a photo in them. So when I was spending some Christmas money on red birks slippers and saw they had silver Mary Janes, I had to get them.

She loves dresses. I got her a Halloween one and figured I’d get one photo, and she all but twirled when I put it on her. She’ll wear them all day. She’s a cross between Eloise and Tricky Woo from All Creatures.

I love Too Much cats. The cat distribution system sends them to us, when idiots who don’t appreciate them toss them out. My Boo is an absolute brat, but somehow, absolutely endearing about it.

Nick is going back to the vet bc his constant stuffy nose won’t clear up and he now has an ear infection. His face is how I feel, but he’s doing fine. He got to see the other vet for acupuncture today and purred so hard she had trouble needling him. (It truly helps his arthritis and him in general).

I used to brush Raffles before bed, and started playing music for him after I played a Talking Heads song and he liked it. I tried other artists and, long story short, he liked rock music with women playing guitar and/or bass. And he liked me to have my phone loud enough he could feel it.

I somehow made it to 50 without breaking a bone, and ended that streak when admiring this view and figuring out how I’d get to the water to put my feet in the ocean, and slipped on seaweed and broke my ankle.

Photos don’t really capture Fuzzy’s chonk. Because he looks fluffy, but he’s truly fuzzy, his fur isn’t that long. And it’s soft as cashmere. Nubbin is built like a bulldog and is known as Thunderpants for when she tears around the house. She’s very fond of hitting the boy cats.

Fuzzybutt let me pet him when he was in the isolation playpen, and is as soft as cashmere and purrs and loves pets. But once he was out in the house, his comfort radius was longer than my arm. He’s slowly getting closer, and this week came within petting radius on purpose.

We’ve been feeding Patch for a few months, he’s very friendly but says no thank you to being touched. He will come in the house to eat, if I stay a couple yards away. He’s booked at the cheap neuter clinic in February, and we have a home lined up. I think we’ll get him inside willingly 🤞

Winston got bitten by my other rabbit, it got infected and degloved (don’t google), and he had to have his leg bandaged for months as the skin grew back. He was so good at pulling bandages off, the techs invented a whole new system involving lots of tape. Him keeping the foot was so incredible the

I could put off groceries until Thursday, and I prefer going in the evening and they’ll close early tomorrow, but I have no lemon, and I need to put Pig 2025 on the pyre tomorrow but I have no lemon for Pig 2026. I joked to my mom that Pig 2025 would soak up bad luck, but I came to believe he did.

The cats have greatly enjoyed playing Catzilla in my Christmas village. Teddy’s gotcha day is Christmas, so we always celebrate him then, and Boo is excited to wear her party dress. Every day, because she’s fancy.

It’s awful but I do find the way they suddenly lose all ability to move normally funny.
I didn’t do it often, bc I value my life, but Sarah Jane tolerated being dressed up more than I expected. I think she liked being a model. Noel as Dread Pirate Rabbit and her as Princess Bunnycup is a favorite.

Yay!! I’m so sorry about Barry. Losing a cat who’s been family for that long, through so many things, is really hard.
