Getting to write a horror series for young adults with disability rep & LGBTQ+ rep is such a gift. WTSH has a chronic illness storyline, a plotline close to my heart, and it meant so much to write it. It also has spooky ghosts, jokes, romance and friendship, and I’m so excited to finally share it.

My third book is officially out in the world today and I am being very normal and chill about it. Where The Shadows Hide is the third book in The PSI Investigations series, published by @theobrienpress.bsky.social and dare I say it’s the best one yet.
Amy, a white woman with long brown hair, is holding a blue book with an eerie hand reaching through water on the cover. The book is called Where The Shadows Hide and Amy’s expression is wide eyed excitement.

The third PSI! Another chiller from @amyclarkinwrites.bsky.social, perfect timing to start my October scary reading (no, I haven't watched any if the cruise ship reality TV shows but absolutely would if they had ghosts👻)

Obsessed with this tiny ghost. He’s now my mascot for Where The Shadows Hide promo and I’ll be bringing him EVERYWHERE.
A tiny ceramic blue ghost looks shocked. It is behind held up in front of library bookshelves

The herding dog and the dog she’s decided is her sheep. (Spoiler, he’s not happy about it).
Coco Swift, a brown and white collie stands in front of the couch smiling happily. Her eyes are firmly fixed on Bailey, a white and brown cavachon who is sitting on the couch leaning his head against a pair of legs, looking like he’s been abandoned.

Feel like this little sob story *could* have mentioned that Boyne's Polari nomination came five days after he wrote a piece referring to trans-inclusive women as the evil wives in the Handmaid's Tale, "ready to pin a handmaiden down as her husband rapes her".

If you're an artist based in Ireland, this survey relates directly to you. It'll take three or four minutes, if that (it's actually too short).

A series of unexplainable events bring PSI to a luxury cruise ship.
It quickly becomes clear that there’s more lurking in the shadows than they've realised.

The third instalment of @amyclarkinwrites.bsky.social’s eerie, paranormal series promises to bring you chills you won’t forget.

Yet more evidence why it’s better to hire actual creatives to do creative work: Chat GBT could never. 👀🤷🏻‍♀️

And this is the design! I asked @karynmoy.bsky.social to create it and she made the PERFECT logo, I’m obsessed with it and I think PSI (even Davis) would love it too.
A logo for a business. The background is a purple circle. There’s an adorable white ghost smiling in the centre, and within the ghost is the purple outline of a house. The words ‘Paranormal Surveyance Ireland’ are underneath.
amyclarkinwrites.bsky.social
One of my favourite PSI scenes to write in Who Watches This Place is the argument they have over the logo, so for Where The Shadows Hide promo I HAD to get it designed properly. This is the extract:
‘It was the outline of a house, with a small cartoon ghost hovering over it, and the words “Paranormal Surveyance Ireland” underneath it. It was so Archer.
“Is the ghost smiling?’ Davis asked, aghast.’

‘Below Deck if a ghost was terrorising the passengers’ and other chaotic ways I describe the plot of my book ‘Where The Shadows Hide.’ October will be fun.

A good friend of mine just had to pull out of a gig in the International Bar because promoter, Chris Williams refused to use their pronouns. Please if you can contact the pub to call his behaviour out and push for change. #Pride

A picture of the international bar in Dublin Ireland A long blustering message from Chris saying how he won't use their pronouns and will intentionally misgender my friend for religious reasons or whatever.
