I'll go one step further: it's a shitty move to yuck someone's yum. I've been guilty of this myself, and I'm trying to be better. But it's infinitely kinder to say "eh, not for me" than "this is garbage, and you should feel sorry for liking it." If it's not hurting anyone, let people have their joy.
My advice: Like what you like and don't worry about anyone who tells you it's cringe. Life's short and the world's on fire, and as long as you're not hurting other people, you're fine. I mean, I still like U2, too! I don't care who knows it. If other people don't like that, that's a them problem.
I love U2. I feel like I could have glided along, enjoying them, if it wasn’t for that damned internet. Now I am on the defensive or lying low with my fandom. That’s happening somewhat now with Taylor Swift. She’s the biggest star in the world but the backlash has begun. “Mom pop”?

I have so much recording I’m supposed to be doing, but last weekend I was an emotional wreck and couldn’t sing without crying, and this weekend I apparently have vertigo? Wtf. Day 2 of dizziness and perma-nausea, and I am so over it. Halp.

I’m trying this one! It’s not too intimidating, which is exactly what I need. 😅 Two days done so far, and I’m reasonably happy with what I’ve done—but I’m going to post my drawings weekly. In the meantime, I wanted to share this, both to keep myself honest and in case anyone else wants to join.
I have created an easy #artchallenge prompt list that is suitable for total beginners!
I chose simple fall and Halloween objects. You are challenged to draw one each day in any medium you'd like!

I don’t know of any better demonstration of just how deeply out of it I’ve been recently than the fact that I am just now, in September, clearing holiday cards off the shelves. Clearly I am doing great at keeping up with everything. (PS. One of the cards was actually from August 2024. 💀)

I'm not a real data analyst—just kinda trying to weasel my way into it as part of my existing role—so for all I know, this is just what the job looks like half the time. But it both cracks me up and kills me when I get a question that can only be answered by running searches on my company's website.
