I am Ana, had a bluesky account for a year, but only started using it this week!

I work in energy, and study environmental policy.

I post about climate, finance, degrowth and renewable energy, and I sometimes write #bookreviews, mostly on new radical climate or politics publications.

An interesting read, though the subtitle says it best. At this point we need to move beyond abstract theorisations of transformations and engage in real strategy-building, for which Olin Wright is not granular enough.

Well... demand reduction for sure! but degrowth is a "planned and democratic reduction of production and consumption in rich countries to lower environmental pressures and inequalities" as per @timparrique.bsky.social
not sure what he is doing is well planned, democratic, or reducing inequality :(

And point 8 on "deciding" on the USD 250bn to replace the USD 100bn is broadening sources, from mobilising private, to including private. And from developed countries being responsible to calling on other parties and south-south cooperation...
