This, like the famous biopic, ignores how Gandhi wasn't completely opposed to violence and it was due more to anti-authoritarian violence, not his salt march, done by more aggressive Indian activists that Britain left India.

Also that biopic, like Gandhi, is overappreciated. See Malcolm X instead.

Just because the U.S. government detests regimes like Cuba, China and Venezuela, that does not magically make those state regimes applaudable.

They're still authoritarian. You need to oppose them!
