Scoop from @jewishcurrents.bsky.social: The ADL is dropping its anti-bias training, and also "deleted lesson plans on topics such as transgender identity, white privilege, school integration, and the impact of boarding schools on Native Americans."

Very clear the org is going hard right.

These continued attacks are terrifying. Today my colleague revealed that she was going to stop publishing on a sensitive topic because she is scared of being deported. There's a reason the admin is crushing production of knowledge
The Trump admin is destroying the ability to fight antisemitism by making it synonymous in much of the public eye with far-right authoritarian repression.

It’s doing so even as it shields and promotes right-wing antisemites to positions of unprecedented influence.
I’m a Tufts alum. I was Tufts Hillel President and I now serve on its board of directors.

There is real antisemitism on campus AND this administration continues to exploit those legitimate concerns to undermine civil liberties, the rule of law, and our democracy.

I don't really think about Americanists unless I'm doing things like trying to translate Chinese court poetry and remember that they only need to learn 1 language 😒

Enjoying the @netflix show Blue Eye Samurai but if it's set in 1633 why don't the Japanese have guns? That plotline is disrespectful to imply that only the West had guns while the East just had "primitive" weapons and apparently no knowledge of guns (tho Japan made their own) 🙄

When disabled people are pushed out of work because bosses and workplaces insist on in-person work arrangements, employers/bosses/colleagues will no doubt go on to describe those disabled workers as lazy, or "unfit" when so many of us are happy to work as long as wfh was possible.

Schools are going back to 2005. As someone who would sneak her lg chocolate out in class to tap out texts on the teeny buttons under my desk, I doubt policing students more than they already are will help much

Schools in Orlando took a tougher approach than a new state law required. Student engagement increased. So did the hunt for contraband phones.

I've noticed many authors citing Foucault Discipline & Punish when they write about violence & econ development. But History of Sexuality is where he talks about disciplining labor for state interests in econ dev. I'm convinced ppl just read "sexuality" in the title and dismiss it as irrelevant 🙄
