Out on the bicycle. My regular coffee shop closed. So it's been rather frustrating to get out regularly. Half an hour on the bicycle though means I can do 7 km rather than the regular 2.5 km per foot. This makes some other places accessible. Something that was a very big ask a year and half ago.

Played some Survive: Escape from Atlantis tonight. Honestly a great game of working as a team one moment and backstabbing someone else the next. Really appreciating the fact that a wide range of ages can play this game.

Started up some of my mini painting again. These guys have been hanging around for a couple of months. Finally gotten around to apply some wash. Fun!

Updated warnings for tomorrow. Maybe if you in Gauteng or are travelling stay home and off the roads.

Quickest way (in my neck of the woods at least) to buy some ice at the local grocery. Gauteng is hot and humid today. 🥵

Successful gaming night! We played Wyrmspan. It's a very good game.

Surprised it took me this long to figure out there was a G1 Transformer that transformed into a 1980s Hilux bakkie. Like how cool is that!

Went to the bookshop today and found a Stephen Gould book. I'm so surprised. This would be my first time finding one of these new and not secondhand.

Out on the bicycle while making some time for reading and coffee.

Some trees flowering where I stay. Contrasting colours on the ground are pretty cool!

Seriously considering getting into the DS9 model that has been in my closet since 2012.

Just ordered me some Star Trek starships to start building over December. I've got the 1/3300 Deep Space Nine that I want to build somewhere in the future. These are meant to go with it some day.

Hashbrowns on a rainy Saturday morning for breakfast. Haven't done this in a while.

Here you go. Mine still feels a bit sticky. But not bad for a first try. Important for it to form the crust as a lot of the taste comes from that. Tomorrow I'll have to this in a cast iron pot. Wish me luck...

Compost heap up and running! Finally!

As easy to find games go, this one is not bad and it's very quick so one can easily play multiple games in a row. It's a memory game, which might not always be everyone's jam and also only requires at least 3 people to play.

This is summer weather in spring. Traffic might be interesting on the way back though.

Lazy Sunday cat.

Played Forbidden Island at the monthly Sunday board gaming group. Pieces of island disappear as you work together to collect relics scattered around the island. Pretty challenging but really enjoyed the cooperation required to beat the game.

And incase you were wondering about that eagle strategy of flying the ring to Mount Doom. It's in there. But is pretty much a moot point.
