Today was “bucket list item fulfillment” day. When I got my first library card I was obsessed with two l books things, science fiction and aviation. My go to book was a large picture book about the National Air&Space Museum. It was an obsession really. Today, 45 years later, I finally got to visit!

Rest well Pop. You had a good run, now it's time to rest. We'll miss you.

I made a radius 1/4 the diameter of the final diameter (so 100mm OD=25mm radius). It probably works with smaller or larger radii but I didn't play with it too much. (Yeah, I know it's not exactly a right angle with the radius in there. I'm a photographer/artist by training and not an engineer)

So I did a thing. In case you're scratching you're head, it's a frog oasis (or frog hotel, frog house, etc.). Side note, do y'all know what a pain it is to do right angled pipe in Fusion? Yeah, that was my day. LOL

Not gonna lie, I’m kinda proud of this one. Introducing the Sunbeam Racing Werks PW-1, stock class 3D printed “pinewood” derby car for @3dprintopia.bsky.social

A little birdy told me she wanted a whale shark theme for an ongoing project. While I'm not a super talented designer
I think I managed to get the head figured out. When printed, the head will be roughly 300mm wide. So, roughly 20%(ish) of full scale. (render from Fusion)

My favorite pizza in Georgia comes from Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in Savannah. You can tell it’s legit by the Strongbow on tap and heavily stickered windows

So here we go. The modular, 3D printed 4x5 camera is still a work in progress, but here's a render showing the basic structure now. As shown it's in the 90mm pinhole configuration, but I'll also have 135mm, 150mm, and maybe 210mm cones available.

Today's event's were pretty poopy so here are some of my photos from the archives. Hoping some beauty helps dull the pain, even if it's only for a little while

Purchased another batch of dry plate negs from the trove I found at a local antique shop. They all seem to be taken around the same time, definitely amateur and definitely all the same family. #vintagephotography #glassplate

First test run with the Prentice Tiny Bike(tm). This is about 1/3 throttle. I almost inadvertently did a burn out on my ride, it’s got a lot of torque. Except for the motors, electronics and misc. fasteners it’s entirely 3D printed (even the tires).

Middle of nowhere, NE Georgia. If it’s anything like the last time, looks like they’re getting ready to shoot scenes for Tulsa King in downtown Winder. #whereIlive

I'm an absolute stan for "vintage" photography and was thrilled to find a stack of glass plate negs at a local antique mall. Bought these two, but I'll probably go back for more. Guessing they're from 1910 to 1920(ish) based on the baseball glove the kid is wearing.

Why roll dice when you can spin for initiative instead? Here's my fully 3D printed "D20" spinner in all of it's PLA glory. The spinner section is printed in place, bearings and all. The outer case is in 3 pieces and then screwed together.

Just a render ATM, but I was inspired by the die cast "D20" spinners that one of the vendors was selling at MomoCon and wondered if I could do a 3D printed version. Images of the printed project coming soon.

First attempt at designing a curved back pinhole camera has hit the Core One. I think I got the dims right... hopefully... maybe? #3dprinting #pinholecamera

Not the lens I plan on using (it's far too heavy) but here's the lensed version of my "modular" 4x5. You just swap out the focusing helix for a pinhole plate and you're ready for Pinhole Day!

So that design rabbit hole I went down this morning? It was for this ridiculous tiny suitcase handle for my rugged dice case design. So ridiculous
