In comparison, the Granville Connector project in Vancouver just dramatically increased the space available for pedestrians and cyclists going into downtown.
I just can't imagine how much worse that Ballard connection is going to get for people not in cars.

It's amazing how the Granville Connector can be both the most amazing and exhilarating update to walking and biking infrastructure I've ever experienced in a North American city and the absolutely shittiest looking thing I've ever seen at the same time.

From Ballard in Seattle -- only problem is that the colour changes over time with this building instead of staying constant. To be fair though this is pretty recent.
