I dare any Harrell supporter to highlight his top three accomplishments. "Not abusing teens" and "not teargassing protesters" doesn't count.

I'm just fascinated with the (largely correct) spelling of Turkey.

If I were any foreign intelligence agency that would be very useful information

EVERYONE should be refusing service to these fascists.

I feel bad when I hear individual stories, but overall I hope that thousands of small businesses close and tens of thousands of people are left desperately poor as a result. As a group Americans cannot FO when they all FA if they're sheltered from consequences.

I just cannot understand how Edgar Wright could see the original and think that Glen Powell would have the gonzo image and energy needed for a remake.

What's also bad is that a lot of these SaaS companies are packaging AI as "standard" and charging more. For example, you're shelling out an additional $100/year to Adobe or $30/year to Microsoft just for the pleasure of integrated AI slop.

Hot damn that's harsh.

Jon Talton is definitely no stranger to reactionary garbage.

Or the 1988 movie starring Anthony Edwards.

He honestly makes JD Vance seem likeable.

And I'd argue that Bond films should be made as period pieces going forward -- keep the 60s aesthetic and setting, and lean into Cold War spy action instead of trying to update the stories to the modern era.

Oh I agree about the challenge. I'm just saying that the entire franchise was rudderless and facing an existential crisis in the 1980s too, and it even struggled during the Brosnan years because of the end of the Cold War.

True, Bond movies became successful by being incredibly stupid with a bland, unchanging main character.

But the big dumb movie formula failed a lot too. Writing a Bond movie after A View to a Kill seems like it would have been a whole lot harder than after No Time To Die.

I think all of Daniel Craig's tenure complicated the ongoing franchise by having an arc that didn't allow for weirdo one-off movies where Bond really wasn't a character.
