on an even more visceral level, i grew up with an emotionally and psychologically abusive parent and a passive parent who refused to protect me from the abusive one, so naturally my rage at this kind of betrayal by the ostensible "good one" runs bone deep. fuck these people forever.
To spell it out, the reason I hate democrats so much and criticize them more than I do republicans is because they take up all the space for opposition to republicans and use that space to give republicans whatever the fuck they want.
