Yeah what about racists misogynists and gay bashers man. I never hear you agreeing with them
I finally had a chance to digest this thread and I actually agree with much it … up to the point that it accuses me of refusing to engage with differing views and trying to “burn it all down!” I think Amicus listeners know that’s untrue; we actually get flak for being too soft on the court.
Staunch partisans like Mark take a different path. They make no effort to engage with people with different views—even people left-of-center who but aren't trying to burn it all down!

Wow it's almost like it's worth taking 20 minutes to vote every other year. How Rashida? Uncommitted? Morons.
???
Yes, immigration agents not only took Arnoldo's phone, the 10th grader had to use Find My Phone to locate it — in a vending machine for used electronics, close to an ICE detention center.

Only man huh. You don't see any women in that mix at all.
It's all about this. Rampant impunity everywhere. Men who think rules are for other people. Because they are rich. Because they have nukes. Because they own the tech. Sometimes all three.
There is a crisis of impunity. The Musk/Grok stuff is just one f many examples of people who are counting on there never being any consequences. And it all makes me just incandescently mad.

Who the thought in any relationship ... Katie Tur would be the smart one

Leni Riefenstahl would be proud
Breaking character: I keep saying promos for CBS News where Tony Doukopil is getting gauzy backlighting like he’s Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca or something. What’s that all about?

Republican politics is like magic. The trick is all in the misdirection
Mooppan: "it's narrowly tailored for 99 percent of people... but when the numbers get as small as they are here then they can't sustain a challenge."

THEN LET THEM FUCKING PLAY THEN AND WE CAN ALL GO BACK TO PROTESTING ICE.

Also car registration and insurance driver's licenses
Republicans really seem to not understand the fundamental princple of consent.
... unless it's about not paying taxes.

Trump is the bad cop that gets a lot of the nastiest done, who they'll eventually retire and pardon
This is so insightful and really the ballgame with the Fed argument later this month. Does Roberts view Trump as a *liability* to the long term Republican project, at least w/r/t the Fed.
The Chief’s every move is predicated on his understanding that Republicans created the Roberts Court to rule our country. When he moves a majority against Trump, that’s not moderation. It’s a recognition that Trump’s become a liability Roberts’s project to perpetuate Republican power.

It's what happens when good people do nothing, like radical left people staying home on voting days
Tom Emmer thanks Trump and ICE for their work in Minnesota

I've been referencing The rise of the planet of the apes for going on 10 years now
This story is completely nuts. And I came into it assuming ICE had low standards for new hires.
A few months ago, ICE hired me

I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable

And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!"

The Trump administration's criminal investigation into Jerome Powell is extremely dangerous to the rule of law; it is also a massive own-goal that will make it much harder for Trump to seize control over the Fed. slate.com/news-and-pol...

I’m proud that my daughter goes to a school where community and equity are core values. But now, apparently, teaching your kid to be good and kind is “political indoctrination”— and punishable by death

An Anderson Cooper investigation of Trump’s acceptance of white S. African refugees, which is “guaranteed to provoke Trump and inflame his MAGA base.”

Just like Nazi germany, bottom of the barrel moronic goons elevated to status that they never thought they could achieve, and never would achieve if you didn't have a psychotic in charge of the country.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

The Nobel prize is unrevocable. But only because they never gave one to Bill Cosby...
Just FYI Trump, FYI Machado: the Nobel Committee needs to remind you that the Peace Prize is NOT transferable, can't be "un-awarded," and may not be exchanged for store credit

And even if she was. Not illegal. Certainly not an executable offense
How many women have died with “fucking bitch” ringing in their ears? Don’t let the misogyny get erased here

First shot could have been just manslaughter. The second two are straight out of a YouTube clip of a sopranos hit
He shot her in the head, then called her a “fucking bitch.”

That isn’t self defense, it’s an angry execution.

Unfortunately we can only defeat ice by 67 United States senators being loyal Americans that obey the Constitution and the laws of the United states. So we're probably fvcked
Proof we could defeat ICE with a multiple choice test.

Which by the way looks exactly like a sopranos mob hit. Google it on YouTube
Opinion | I was a lifelong liberal Democrat. Then I saw Kristi Noem in a cowboy hat telling me to not believe the video I saw of an ICE agent shooting an unarmed motorist in the head.

Also guilty of felony manslaughter
Another reminder that Democracy's greatest defense is that Trump, Vance, Noem and the rest of them are - at heart - imbeciles

Then why was Eric Swalwell among 75 Democrats who last year voted with Republicans to "express gratitude" to ICE & call for more state/local collaboration with ICE?

If we win big enough in november, you impeach them both and make the speaker of the House, presumably @aoc.bsky.social , president of the United States
