weird how college undergrad workers, some of them working their first-ever paid jobs, have zero difficulty understanding this in collective bargaining contexts but I’m asking for the moon—or a collaborator!—when I suggest elected, septuagenarian party leaders to understand this basic concept.

not for nothing, even presuming anyone in positions of actual power wants something better than a completely untenable, indefensible status quo: the first rule in good bargaining strategy is “anchor high,” not “find a lowest common denominator for your side then give it away for pinky promises.”

(*also very cool that the most-frequent ad is structured around an interview with one of NSSR Psychology's alums – incidentally, the only department allowed to accept PhD applicants this cycle as TNS higher-ups move heaven and earth to destroy the rest of NSSR's constitutive programs 🙂)
