For so long Amazon has had a monopoly on selling self-published books. Good to see that @bookshop.org is ready to compete in the space! www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...

I am trying to build this with The Rumpus! I hope we can fill some of this gaping void in criticism as we relaunch.

I have thought long and hard about starting up a new books publication, given how much criticism has been cut across the board. The business model is really difficult. The return on investment is low. We used to be okay with some parts of media not growing rapidly year over year forever.

I hadn’t known this. Two men who were accused of sexual abuse on the Shitty Media Men document that I created back in 2017 reached out to Michael Wolff for help as they looked to sue me, and Wolf forwarded their concerns to Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein offered to help. www.jmail.world/thread/EFTA0...

"As far as I’m concerned, remembering that I’m “first, last, and always an American” is a means of rejecting the claim, promulgated by antisemites as well as Zionists, that I am anything else."

This, by Lily Meyer, is lovely. Happy pub day to her.

Disgust aside, I am downright astonished by the extent to which these geriatric pervs felt inclined to communicate their every intrusive thought.

Deleted my last post. Maybe I should, like, doomscroll to prevent myself from going too deep in the Epstein files.

I keep thinking again, in light of the latest Epstein files dump, about how MeToo “went too far.”

Every new Epstein files dump is like confirmation that the grandiose conspiracy theories aren’t depraved enough.
