They are being deliberately placed there as targets in a shooting gallery so that some agent provecteur with a rifle turns up & takes a pot-shot. This would allow Trump to declare the civil war which he is itching to start.

I'm old enough to remember when we privatised the water companies so that we could increase the investment in infrastructure.
We haven't had a single reservoir built since, our pipes still leak & we are releasing ever increasing amounts of sewage into rivers. Privatisation has failed.

Unfortunately I don't share your optimism. The US has shown us all that there are a huge number of people who are fooled by this BS & misinformation on social media. In the UK their votes will be concentrated for a single party which could take power with only 30-35% of the vote.

Many of the doctors who you'll see in private consultations are the same doctors that work in the NHS a few days a week. These doctors are referring patients to their colleagues (or indeed themselves) in private practice. This doesn't increase NHS capacity just the cost to the patient.

Trumpnomics: Get tariff money from US consumers on Chinese goods. Our farmers can’t sell their products because the Chinese refuse to pay our tariffs. China buys from farmers in Argentina instead. We send Argentina $20 billion. Then we pay our farmers to throw their crops away.
