The fact that FIFA and IOC (for 2028 Olympics) hasn't said or done anything yet shows exactly what's important to them...

And, let's be honest, with this being FIFA's third "world cup" in a row being hosted at a bad country shows they don't care about anything but money...
The most effective leverage the world has against this nonsensical pretext to ban people from the US is for World Cup fans to refuse to come here, although that is probably an impossible ask for rabid fans.

UK still trying to beat Australia and other countries to the bottom...
The tabled amendment to the children’s wellbeing and schools bill wouldn’t just ban under-16s from social media, but from “regulated user-to-user services” under the Online Safety Act, requiring age assurance on Wikipedia, Steam, messaging apps and more. decoded.legal/blog/2025/12...

This goes a long way to explaining the bits and pieces I've seen from webcomic artists about hiveworks over the years.

I'm *mumble*old*mumble* enough to remember the keenspot sites and they were badly managed as well - I think it ended up being an ego trip for one person in the end?
The Hiveworks Artist Guild has released a public statement alleging years of labor abuses, financial mismanagement, and misconduct at Hiveworks at the hands of Xellette “Xel” Velamist and Isabelle “Isa” Melançon. Read their full statement at:

I've just saw that the rancid ego's "X" site is now saying you'll have to pay to use the ai tools to remove clothing from women/children...

The fact that the rancid ego's first thought was how to make money out of it doesn't surprise me...

Frankly, anyone still on there has to be suspect now

Every time FIFA are in the news, it's because they found more ways to ruin football. Discriminating against disabled ppl now? On top of hosting a "World Cup" in a warmongering country with overpriced tickets? A country, mind, with thugs attacking pretty much anyone they dun like?

So, y'know, Labour are complicit in AI's ability to generate CSEM in the first place. Don't let them forget about this. They funded the betterment of AI, helping to make it so that AI could generate CSEM, all because they want the ability to spy on you and your children 24/7.

Is this referring to Ofcom's "we're investigating to see if we need to investigate X" tweet? If so, a ban is never gonna happen. Labour are too addicted to the platform.

They're also spending an eye watering amount of tax payer money on the same kinds of AI that are being used to generate CSEM.
The United Kingdom is considering banning X/Twitter, The Telegraph reports.

Concerns were raised after users utilized Grok, X’s AI chatbot, to digitally undress women and children.

Of course they have. Palantir must've given millions in bribes to successive UK governments to allow them to keep stealing data.

Explains why there's major issues with online age verification, but here's what the real-world version would be: you allow someone to take photos of you, photocopy your personal ID data and they'll put it all in a drawer somewhere. Anyone else can then go through that drawer.

I dun have any problems in admitting I go for the easy option when playing games nowadays. That's because I play games for fun, for distraction, for the stories, etc. But the important thing is: _I'M_ the one playing it, and I make my own decisions playing them.
January 6, 2026 at 8:06 PM
...ugh.

Another option that no-one sane wants. If you're going for this, why not just watch videos instead? Or do you need AI to watch the video and tell you what you thought of it??

Nothing radical about it. We can easily see what's been happening to women's rights in the far-right USA. Do anyone think we want to see Farage's Reform, Badenoch's Tories or Starmer's Labour do the same here? They've been steadily eroding freedoms already.

I dun have an Apple phone, but if this does what it says - using date of birth and parental locks - that's a LOT better than using dodgy third-party age verification sites that use your personal identification for their own purposes...
Apple just released the ability to identify yourself as an adult in one of the most recent iOS 26 updates. you as a user should go opt in right now, and Bluesky should start using this feature as soon as possible. it would show US regulators we don’t need KOSA to protect kids online

if you still use Twitter please understand that you are enabling and supporting this.

It’s only going to get worse, so you may as well leave now and start rebuilding your “following” anywhere else.
For the last few days on X, people (mainly women, and sometimes children) have had nonconsensual images of them in swimsuits (or much worse) requested by users and created by Grok.

Musk's only apparent response thus far has been to crack jokes about it.
so x dot com’s ai generated CSAM and they admitted it may violate US law and … i haven’t seen in anyone in power say much at all or call to stop using the platform
