We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

I don't follow them as much as I used to, but does anyone know if the vlogbrothers have covered the Online Safety Act threats that have been spreading across the globe this year?
If memory serves, they were some big voices warning against ending Net Neutrality; we could do with them again for this.

This year completely obliterated my interest in learning music, so I'm gonna go back to it next year, even if the world we once knew is ending. Will probably pick it back up casually this year, in time to play Christmas songs on recorder again, tbh.

If the UK is going to start a fairly intensive authoritarian creep using the Online Safety Act and censoring the internet for its people, they could at least reinstate all the offline accessibility of the 90s. You know, when you could live happily & easily without being online.

Not really related, but it reminded me, one of the reasons I stopped driving is that I'm stupidly sensitive to light and sunglasses don't help all too much.
I genuinely don't understand how people can keep their eyes open on a properly sunny day, or at night with headlights; it's painful.

Yes, HID headlights are very bright but the bigger problem is the proliferation of gargantuan vehicles with 5’+ hood heights so that if you’re driving a normal sized car their headlights are at your eye level rather than seat level like they’re supposed to be.
