to fester by being dismissive, passive and hypocritical. Men can be cruel in more profound ways that are perhaps as mentally staggering as the woman’s violence is physically.

But while it is a bit tedious by design, it still feels a bit limited and constrained by its approach.

that Lars peppers in that suggest the passivity of the man and some of his conditioning allows her psychosis to worsen to the point he can create his own victim complex and justify fighting back when she’s at her lowest, when she’s actually feeling guilt and remorse, and he just allowed everything-

To elaborate on this, largely at first glance, the overwhelmingly and seemingly one-sided violent transgressions of the woman seem to make it like she’s an out and out unrepentant monster deserving of karmic retribution and seems flatly like “bitches be crazy” at first, but there are clues there-

140. One Battle After Another (film): unfortunately an underwhelming, lower end PTA film imo but still quaint. Decent dramatic crosscutting of highs & lows, good performances, car chase is expertly directed, but feels skin deep, nuances maybe only in periphery of things, at mercy of inertia. 7/10

139. Demon Slayer - Infinity Castle ~ Akaza Returns (anime): no nonsense Zenitsu + less BS villain powerups + decent character moments & more streamlined arc structure focusing on the different fighting styles at their most pure + little to no comedy & less redundant monologuing = best DS yet. 7/10

Unfortunately as much as I love Aimer’s old songs, I think after Brave Shine and the pivot to more aggressive, faster tempo rock tracks for her does a disservice to her voice. I think Yama’s tracks have had better production that fit better. Aimer should go back to slower tracks, they were so good.
