The unfortunate thing too is how many of the JP fans are just going "Well, Furuya will always be Amuro. How would you replace him?" and clearly ignoring what he did.

Okay, not sure how it didn’t occur to me originally, but I guess with the Nightreign DLC, the new characters have their own journal chapters and everything to clear one by one, which makes sense, so that definitely adds longevity on top of just doing the new content in a vacuum.

Evil as those companies were it is kinda sad that attempts to market anime towards kids in the west basically died with them. If you're not named Pokemon or Beyblade, forget it. Even Yu-Gi-Oh has kinda faded into obscurity where the kids are concerned
While I do believe that the overlocalization and white washing of various anime that companies like 4Kids and Saban did years ago was horrible, they were very good at doing what they did, and that was marketing towards kids. They had very few genuine flops and were successful in their game.

Watching the Mr Scorsese documentary… wild that The King of Comedy - my favourite Scorsese movie, in fact quite possibly my favourite movie ever - was a gig he accepted reluctantly, hated making, and apparently still feels distant from. Well I guess he’s entitled to his opinion!
