There are few things more embarrassing than accidentally leaving out evidence of recent cleaning when guests come over. It is imperative to uphold the illusion that we were not dusting, sweeping wiping, and tidying moments before your arrival. We live this way all the time. @nathanwpyle.bsky.social

I don’t think I’m going to be able to watch the movie Hamnet. That book wrecked me and had me bawling more than any book I’ve read in a long time.

Sorry to report that Calgary, Alberta named all their freeways trails and yet still is one of most car-happy cities in the country.

Got a pair of “Extreme” merino wool socks for each of my kids. The men’s and women’s versions should be identical other than size and colour options right? Nope, the women’s sock has a much thinner inside lining. Why????? Infuriating.

This is such a good book. Berenstain Bears are generally mediocre to bad, but this one stands out as brilliant.

The Spirit Sands in Spruce Woods Provincial Park #Manitoba will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ve been coming here since I was born; with my parents, on school field trips, youth retreats, camping with friends, etc. 1/2

When you need to bring a big salad for the work potluck but it’s road construction season so driving is out of the question and you’re also a #granolamennonite, you have to get creative with packing to fit everything in the bike paniers.

In an effort to trick my kids into getting along, I bribe them with extra screen time. Any time spent playing video games nicely together does not count toward the regular allotment. It doesn’t really work, but it might work for someone else 😌
