I've got some good writing news to share, but going to the gym for the first time in 12 days (after being ill, and perhaps still being ill), I don't have the energy at the moment. I'm excited on the inside 🥳

I'm still feeling ill, and it's annoying. 7 days and counting...

Just had my first piece of Christmas cake (well, since July when we were finishing off the last batch) 😎

It was accidental but delicious.

I've just watched a reel about taking selfies which - for me as an apparent luddite - is a game changer. Who knew there were setting on my camera other than 'take photo'?? When I'm over this covid-flu hybrid monster, I'm flooding the internet with perfectly taken pictures of myself 😎🤣

Today I will mostly be printing out my novel before scribbling edits all over it. The entire ms will be green because I still only have cyan and yellow ink. Fingers crossed it will last for 225 pages 😬

I'm just about to embark on my 5th draft, so I might put this quote on my whiteboard.
Revising your novel happens naturally in your writing, it is a finding of the true story to tell, when you find the real story hidden inside your text for your reader. Don't begrudge the writing you did to get the right story. #AmWriting - Wrtr #Writing #Writer #Author #BookSky #AuthorSky

My body is really very clever. I've been so hungry over the past couple of days, and it turns out it was hoarding calories for today when I'm poorly and can't face anything at all.

I am never ever buying a sports bra with removable cups again. Every wash is a battle and although it's the nicest one, it's also the last resort one 🙁

My ghost story draft doesn't have an ending. It might be destined to forever wander around the page, seen only occasionally as a vague outline.

Sometimes you can't see the true nature of your story until you get all of it, everything, all out on paper or the screen. Until then, it can keep surprising you. So keep writing. Then adjust it in the next draft. - Wrtr #AmWriting Be Writing. #Author #Writing #Writer ~ #BookSky #AuthorSky

Since deleting a different social media app from my phone, this will now be my go-to place for random thoughts and general procrastination. (It wasn't X, in case you're wondering - I haven't been there for months.)

I don't yet have a title for my new short story, so I've saved it as Ghost Story with Casserole. I'm really hoping I find a better one!

He who gets a treat at 8pm is thoroughly confused by the clock change. This picture comes with a low rumbling grumble with occasional high pitched whining.
