It’s weird to look back now and feel like we were part of a moment where more varied and diverse discourse about wrestling (and even promotion of wrestling to more varied audiences) really seemed like it was becoming a thing… and then it lasted for like three or four years and kinda ended.

I also covered the story when a plane full of wrestlers was held hostage on the tarmac by the Saudis because of some undisclosed conflict between SA and Vince McMahon. How many comedians do you think heard that charming anecdote?

I covered pro wrestling online from 2017 to 2020. I was frankly a loud voice in that field against WWE going to Saudi Arabia.

I’m sorry to now inform the comedy community that in 5 years big comedians almost certainly will still be going and fans will have given up on caring.

It sucks, I agree.

Her roots are in Nashville country, which instills a tendency to be quiet about your political opinions in the hopes everyone will like you. But in 2025 (and previously around 2017 the last time it happened) that’s understandably hard for the youth to accept, especially from a rich blonde lady.

Mr. Terrific! Just for fun, because he's got such a neat design and I'd never drawn him before. I penciled this one while I was visiting family in North Dakota, painted it while at Tucson Comic-Con, and then did the final flourishes while I was at home.
