DSP deliveries confirmed and pre-orders are live... it's happening! A two-year labor of love will finally come out next month, Feb. 7, 2026! I really hope that anyone who's even a bit curious will gander a listen.

Ah, Jollibee. The taste of their cornstarch chicken almost masks the sick I feel from their numerous labor code violations. Well… *almost.*
Jollibee began as a response to demand for American fast food in a postcolonial Philippines. Now, the chain has designs on becoming one of the top restaurant companies in the world—and is reshaping the American palate, Yasmin Tayag reports:
Postcolonial Chicken
The U.S. introduced fast food to the Philippines. Now Jollibee is serving it back to America.

I have a new album coming next year, Feb. 7 "The Mock Orchestra."

Two years in the making, realized through a hybrid of computer mockups and real performances. Because hiring a full orchestra is too damn expensive.

Please don't offload the compositional process to AI, please.

Not a lot of people know this, but the greatest thing a composer could feel while writing is to have things click in place after days, weeks or even months of stuff that doesn't stick.

AI takes away that friction and that joy.

How Americans fight fires, according to DHS:

Firefighter: Are you an arsonist, ma’am?
Lady: No, I’m just lighting a cig-
*Bombards the woman with a fire extinguisher.*
Firefighters, famously, have a house they all live in, where they wait for people to call them, actually.

If you’re starting to think that the wannabe strongmen of the world has everyone by the balls, just remember that the once-untouchable Duterte is now in jail for crimes against humanity. If a back-assward nation like the Philippines can do it, then so can you!
