It's ironic to see a discipline care **so much** about unbiasedness (causal inference!) at the level of a single test but then have a research production system and culture that is basically a ferocious bias generation machine. This is not good.

Entertaining large groups of people was so dangerous that Newsom had 20 lobbyist go out to dinner with him. He bailed out Hollywood movie theaters with millions, but no help if your business didn't contribute to his election fund. Newsom is the Trump of the Democratic Party.

Sure, but the first step in treating cancer is typically the gross exhumation of the tumor. Removing Trump from office won't end the problem, but I cannot see a path forward that doesn't start with him no longer being president.

Apologies for using a military analogy, but this is so common in militarizes that go to war unexpectedly, that is has become a trope. The CO who wants to dress up, give orders, and parade around in military fashion, but has no apatite for the actual battle he never expected to be in.

Who do you recommend in SoCal because No Kings ain't doing shit and their the only group I've seen on the streets. If someone were actually ready to organize an opposition, you'd think they would be pretty high visibility.
