From Ezra Klein:
“More than anything else, this is what led some Senate Democrats to cut a deal: Trump’s willingness to hurt people exceeds their willingness to see people get hurt.”
That is a more charitable interpretation than I’m willing to make.

Very interesting 84 minute conversation about Mamdani and why he trounced Cuomo. Absolutely astounding to me they NEVER mentioned Cuomo is a sexual predator and that might be a bright line for some people. “Scandal” is as close as they got.

I think what establishment democrats need to understand is that most of us hate them all very much for being so persistently useless and shitty in our time of desperation and it fills our hearts with hope and joy when someone who might not be those things beats them.

Americans know scapegoating when we see it.

Authoritarians target, vilify and demonize small minority groups to whip up negative emotions and mask their own programs.

It's up to the people to reject sinister efforts to dehumanize and stigmatize transgender Americans.

This strike me as a parody of a front page, something you might see in Oz or a pretend kingdom, or high school: Our Ruler is arguing with His Favorite! What does that mean for us!
