Probably one of the best I'iwi shots I've gotten. This one was greedily feeding on the māmane nectar, this was the 1/250th of a second it wasn't buried in the shrub. And look! Feets! 🦉🌿📷
I'iwi (a vermillion Hawaiian honeycreeper with a long curved beak) perched amid the mamane blossoms (small yellow flowers on a woody shrub, endemic to Hawaii, related to the legume family)
