This is exactly what is happening. It is an organized push to create a "common enemy" as per fascist playbook.
The campaign against “antifa” is about establishing a beachhead for further attacks on speech and assembly rights. We see that today in the effort to preemptively label No Kings protesters as “terrorists.”

ICE tactics are designed to instill fear and foster outrage. They would like nothing better than to have violent reactions so Trump can declare martial law.
Masked raids are tools of fear, not freedom. Despite what this administration wants you to believe, they are not about “safety.” They are about letting ICE agents hide from accountability while carrying out inhumane acts.

I'm hoping that people get the fact that the gerrymandering effort is about making the House a permanent Republican majority. They already have advantage in Senate and White House.

We must not lose sight of the biggest threat being the Republican effort to ensure they keep control of both houses of Congress in the upcoming election. They are trying to make it impossible for Dems to ever control any piece of the government.
