Buggering off for the next four years. Ciao
Anyway, hope you all had a great Christmas Day. Ours was filled with fun, laughter, drink, M&S food and a mystery game that we completed at 2am this morning - thanks, Professor Charlie’s World Tour Advent Calendar (we did it it one sitting that over three hours and had a great fun!)

Made a rookie error as S caught me eating sourdough with Nutella (it was the basic M&S sourdough and not their 30 year old starter dough!) and now she wants toast and chocolate spread. Parenting well here :-/

Anyway, I think I’m in for Christmas now. Food shopping all collected, out of office ON, neighbours’ cards and gifts hand delivered, spending time with S while she gets felt tip pen ink on my clothes, will finish wrapping later with a G&T and Christmas movie

If the State isn’t getting scammed by these scheisters, I don’t know what is. How the fuck can they hold a gun to the head of the State by demanding ‘compensation’ for a project they’re a) unlikely to be around for, b) they live in one of the most affluent areas in Dublin that they don’t need money

Now, the main food shop in Dunnes Cornelscourt yesterday morning was like Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Thank God we had pre-booked a click and collect service because I am not able for crowds of dickheads, especially with less than adequate sleep and only a shot of espresso in the system.

Was half expecting Hell on Earth at M&S in Blackrock. Got there for 7:30 and it was rather calm. Grabbed a few bits before picking up the Christmas Food Order (can’t wait to stick into a Wagyu beef!)

Anyone else in Ireland getting “missed calls” from Poland? Is this an extension of the recent UK phone numbers that have been inundating the networks?

Back from an amazing weekend in Frankfurt. Great to see the Christmas markets and lights through S’s eyes. Absolutely broke by the number of “horsey rides” she did on the carousel. The Glüwein definitely helped!

A great article that could almost be a Hollywood film in itself. Interested to see how Netflix brings their operations together and what the future holds. I imagine our monthly fees will rise a lot because of this fusion.

A superb appointment and one that brings clout. Ireland really is out there on the world stage 👏🏽👏🏽

Yesterday I ran my first 10km trail run deep in the Wicklow Mountains, and I lived to tell the tale. One of the best experiences ever running through mud, forest, hills and mountain trails.

A thoroughly insightful piece on how we should have flipped Gen AI to complement human activity and learning, rather than simply replace human activity.

Trying to get a Christmas slot at Dunnes and the website is actual garbage this year. Lads, you are not Ticketmaster

Over on the Birdshit website, I’m just trolling the simpletons who spoiled their votes(?) Like, your foremothers and fathers fought for the right to vote, and this is how you honour their legacy?

I’m tallying Oh My Effing God Community School next 😜
The caption made it look like the Green leader was taken aback by the sheer size of the Connolly lead in this tally.

“A Pukka Pie and a pint, please. Oh, and a flu jab as well!”
Great initiative 👏🏽

Proud to have voted for Catherine Connolly yesterday. She will be great president for Ireland. Counting has begun and results should be confirmed later today.

Bought S a Hello Kitty bath bomb from Lush yesterday. Having fun in her bath tonight until she saw Hello Kitty fizzing away in the water. No tears, just sadness. I think I’d deal better with her tears

M&S Christmas Food order is in. We’ve been meaning to do this for several years but every time we do all the slots are taken. We are more organised this year.

Maria Steen and her delusional supporters need to check in with themselves. She didn’t meet the requirement to make it on to the presidential ballot, end of. That Jim Gavin has withdrawn his candidacy is missing the point altogether. Go back to your 1950s backwards policies.

Jim Gavin withdraws from the presidential election. Straight race between Catherine Connolly and Heather Humphrey’s. Neither of whom I am enthralled about.
