I agree with you. There are plenty of other options where he could be comfortable without wearing a suit. People obliterated a woman on TikTok for wearing shorts to an interview, but somehow this guy can look like he's watching Sunday football on his couch?

You're saying that meeting the President once or a few times implies someone has influence over his decisions or policies? Regardless, my point is the snarky little barbs do nothing to promote unity. Infighting (or sniping) got us here.

That people think the Netflix algorithm is so good it can suss out who likes to watch movies like that is disturbing. Netflix recommended some wild stuff to me. Normalizing rape and violence against women, especially when the violence is shown onscreen, is abhorrent.

My parents did, too, loved TNG so much. Now they're MAGA. 🙃 But the principles stuck with me anyway!

Because at that point they've been exposed to extensive bias and misinformation by hundreds of sources, whether from family, the media, or just by existing in a system built on WS.

I feel like climate change can feel a bit mystical because the earth is, y’know, pretty complex as a system. But just tossing a, “CO2 is transparent to visible light but absorbs infrared light” in there just says “this isn’t that complex — climate deniers are denying /physics/…which is cringe.”

They're going to try to enact total control and maintain white supremacy. There are guardrails in place to reject totalitarianism tho because our founders were escaping people exactly like those coming into power soon. Not every Republican is going let them tear it all down. There is hope.

Honestly, same. I am trying to train myself to ignore people who get dopamine from wasting my time, but it's hard when there's the tiny possibility that someone will question the BS.
