Playing Guild Wars 1 again has reminded me that shitty inventory management isn't something they invented for GW2 to sell inventory and bank slots. It's been part of the series core from the beginning.

Seeing posting about live letter and hype reminds me that I'm so behind on XIV gearing that I'm not sure if I can do normal mode raids. I blame gacha games for draining me of the energy I previously put in XIV gear grind.

The more I play Heart of Thorns the more I want to throw hands with GW2 "content creators" who recommend people to skip ahead and unlock flying as soon as they hit level 80.

Started playing Guild Wars 2 again. Finally reached the first expansion. In it progression is based on unlocking movement options and other progression tools. In a way, it's collectahon platformer.

Finished Legend of Nayuta (minus post-game). It was fun, but I wouldn't recommend it over Falcom's other offerings. Ys for better action game, Trails for trails, or Tokyo Xanadu for something standalone.

I was scared I made mistake starting Legend of Nayuta on hard, but after first boss, it hasn't been too hard. I do decent damage and there is plenty of room for mistakes.

Saw credits in Absolum. It's the kind of game where I complain a lot, but also keep doing new runs. Could brag that I defeated final boss on first try, but that's just because infinite throwing dagger build meant I didn't need to learn shit.

Ok. Absolum is really pissing me off with enemies raising their hands up in what looks like clear obvious sign for vertical slash, and then do horizontal swing. For a game that's build around using specific defensive moves against specific attacks, the windups should be crystal clear.

Took me disappointingly long to find out where to get permanent upgrades in Absolum. At least I finally have them. I was getting bit frustrated by the difficulty.

Absolum is more focused on various defensive mechanics than I thought. Blocks, dodges, parries, moves that flash to sign they can't be blocked, counter-hits. Shouldn't surprise me that game made in modern day loves is defensive tech. But I might prefer simplicity of "don't be where enemy hits".

Early game of Dragon Quest XI with harder enemies option on is rough. Even normal enemies hit hard, I have limited healing options -> I want to avoid enemies -> I'm underleveled for a boss -> Trouble.
