Important addendum— they are approved for *everyone* up to age 45! And everyone should get them, because in addition to preventing cervical cancer they can prevent head and neck cancers, penile cancers, and anal cancers!
remember when I tried to get an HPV shot and my OBGYN told me no because “that’s a shot for hoes!”
turns out you can just go to the grocery store and get one at the pharmacy
