There are no men as it should be.

I think every character in everything should be lesbians and if not lesbians they should be aroace bc there really aren't that many aroace characters out there.
arachniddolls.bsky.social
I'm really only interested in catering to myself.

My webcomic isn't sapphic, it'll be capital L lesbian. There's a lesbian bar full of butchfemme lesbians. The only non lesbian character is an aroace trans woman and her circle of friends, outside of the mcs who are also lesbians are all lesbian trans women that also hang around the butchfemme bar.

They do it to piss me off specifically.

The strangest thing about authors marketing their M/F books as "sapphic" is the market for lesbian fiction is so much smaller than the one for M/F?

Like why are you doing deceptive marketing to target a SMALLER audience than the one you'd get if you were just honest?

Personally, I think that's pretty absurd. I think you have to be the biggest most sensitive bitch in the entire world in order to feel that way. Like boofuckinghoo some random girl spoke to you with text to speech or with sign language. Grow up.

me to kms for your convenience bc it weirds you out for me to exist in your vicinity
arachniddolls.bsky.social
Like I can only exposure therapy myself and work my way up to becoming fully speaking in the first fucking place if you annoying evil jackoffs let me be out of the fucking house and exist in peace in the first fucking place, so at a certain point you do literally just want 1/

I'm just so tired, if I never manage to become fully speaking but I become a Fully Functioning Adult Member of Society anyways through sheer force of will and my own hard work it still won't be good enough.
arachniddolls.bsky.social
a job with your disorder and you find ways to communicate without speech and you've found ways to become more and more independent despite your family and the entirety of society actively working against you to do so while you still can't speak- speak words to me with your mouth rn or kaywhyess"
arachniddolls.bsky.social
I actually pretty regularly see the sentiment that I shouldn't be allowed to leave the house if I can't speak, which is again, evil. And also pretty mixed messaging from the "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and just stop being mentally ill, I don't care that you've made progress with and gotten-

I feel like every few months there's like a big uptick in people being ableist about non and semi speaking people,
right now I'm pretty sure it's C*rdi's fault but I digress.

Sometimes the speaking just say things that are just so flagrantly evil, it's so hard not to tell them to kermit.

I'm almost done with She Loves to Cook She Loves to Eat ;-;

I hope the next volume is out and gets translated soon

I really want to get into collecting physical media and also porting that physical media to my own shit digitally for when said physical media becomes completely defunct before it's too late.

It feels a lot more like me actually owning the shit I buy than just like 🏴‍☠️ing

The ableist freaks that want to keep us chained up in basements and the ableist freaks that don't want anyone to acknowledge we exist are always arguing with each other.
arachniddolls.bsky.social
Every time semi and nonspeaking people try to have a discussion about lateral ableism from speaking autistics it's completely ignored but other speaking people sure do have a lot to say on our behalf that gets actually listened to.

I am formerly nonspeaking, now mostly speaking

it strikes me, every time I read an article like this, how they never ask a single goddamn nonspeaker for input, just our parents

our challenges are not framed from OUR perspective; we are always portrayed as a burden, nothing more

Azeen Ghorayshi at the NYT has moved on from going after trans people and is now pushing the leasing question that autism diagnoses are too common because of its expansion of it to a spectrum.

Alt text: A screenshot of a New York Times article titled “Should the Autism Spectrum Be Split Apart?” The image shows a woman with dark hair tied back with an orange patterned ribbon, smiling and leaning forward near a window with sunlight coming in. She is wearing a light orange top with thin straps.

Good thing about my display name is I don't need to change it for Halloween season, it's already seasonally appropriate

Three times with no dialogue is actually gay. The main character is bi btw"
arachniddolls.bsky.social
This seems like the kind of thing you'd care about also, if the main form of canonicity for queer characters in "queer works" you're familiar with are like big production stuff where things are confirmed as "canon" on Twitter when it's not even subtext in the work. IE "this background you see -

I love being on an app where I can say the word cis.
arachniddolls.bsky.social
stating one way or the other as "see, she's clearly The Default, so she's cis."
arachniddolls.bsky.social
Like, even headcanon vs canon, does it really contradict canon to call your "totally cis" character a trans woman when she's probably not ever going to be explicitly stated to be a cis woman in the actual text of the show and you're probably just going to treat her going about her life w/o -
arachniddolls.bsky.social
If you're not purposefully writing a cis character for a REASON like Idk you want to make a point or something, then the cis or trans status of a character doesn't really matter as being set in stone. There's "I didn't intend for that when I made her" and then there's "absolutely NOT, she is CIS"
