normally a story with a lot of plotholes would bother me, but this is ST i’m talking abt. plotholes have been present since season 1. i’ve ever held it to the standard i hold shows like Andor. like i don’t rlly care that they forgot Will’s bday in s4, or the inconsistent powers of demogorgons
#StrangerThings ending was okay imo. the finale was riddled with plotholes and contrivances, but that’s just always how this show has been. i feel like most of the characters got fitting ends, and that most of the plot beats were wrapped up in decent ways. it was never gonna be 10/10

idfc about ships. i care abt plot, dialogue, character arcs, and a naturally flowing story. ST5 v2 was lacking in all of those departments. did i like it? yes. was it good? i’d say no. but others can be the judge

wonder if they’re going to clarify the whole Shady Sands mixup from Fallout s1 in the new season. probs easy to address with just a line of dialogue or two between Lucy and House, since he’d definitely be in the know

this COULD HAVE been helped had they decided to keep the Shaak Ti deleted scene, but no. GG looks like a total fraud :/
but then he 1) flees the Battle of Coruscant like a wimp and 2) dies in his duel with Obi-Wan. he has no onscreen feats whatsoever. he’s just a one and done villain in an already convoluted movie stuffed with a lot of characters. Grievous comes off as a generic, underwhelming henchman

for a specific example: Count Dooku is very intimidating in TCW because we’ve seen him defeat Anakin and Obi-Wan multiple times. he’s also fended off the likes of Yoda. he commands a lot of gravitas.
like imagine it’s TCW. a villain that’s more powerful than padawan Ahsoka isn’t that big a deal. but a villain more powerful than Obi-Wan, a jedi master? that’s something to be afraid of. creates higher stakes for our heroes opposing them

MBAV actually does a surprisingly good job of setting up its main s2 antagonist! we know they’re a powerful mage who hates vampires just from the first episode. only thing i would’ve done differently is compare their power level to Benny’s gma instead of Benny himself

dude november and december are just PEAK months of entertainment fod me…. we got Mighty Nein followed by Stranger things followed by Fallout, not to mention Critical Role campaign 4 having episodes every week as well. i’m eating GOOD!
