He is a very average MLS CB. I guess it helps given the team is extremely awful in the back, but I wouldn’t expect much improvement.

So what’s the problem? Is it lack of money? Lack of ambition? Or simply lack of knowledge on the sport? Having an academy alone isn’t going solve everything. Still gotta invest in good coaching, scouting and the 101’s of the game.

Here’s the thing, Philly has a game plan and style of play and DC has not had in years. Benteke at Philly probably would have been more of an impactful player simply due to the system. And calling 2026 a rebuild year is a stretch at this point.
